Keep it Local Columbia County Questions

How is KeepItLocalCC funded?

Keep it Local Columbia County initially received a $5,000 grant from the Ford Family Foundation to partner with AMIBA (American Independent Business Alliance) to create a shop local program. Independent Contractor, Natasha Parvey serves as Director for the project, which receives monetary and in-kind donations from business owners, local city government and community partners.   We are now partnered with the Columbia County Economic Team, under the Columbia County Business Alliance, a 501- C3.    Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses.  Statistics demonstrate how the Keep It Local CC website has increased customer exposure for the registered businesses.   By the end of June 2017, Google Analytics on the website had 4,300 views, with 498 users averaging 3 minutes 3 seconds.

Who volunteers for the Keep It Local Columbia County Committee?

A group of community leaders,  business owners, government officials, high school students, and seniors make up the volunteer base.  The committee meets on a monthly basis every 4th Monday of the month at 6:30 PM in the Columbia River PUD Community Room.  Please contact keepitlocalcc@gmail.com to be added to the invite list. Please RSVP to meeting announcements, as light food is provided for attendees.

What do our volunteers do?

Volunteers can be social media ambassadors and promote local events using hashtags; do business outreach by sharing our website and what it does; perform marketing campaign outreach and community outreach; promote events such as professional workshops and partnerships with chambers for connections and take advantage of business to business opportunities.   We also need help with adding local events to our website, editing press releases and cross-posting on Facebook.
