Not everyone can be a foster parent, but anyone can positively impact the life of a child in foster care. Please join us for our CASA Volunteer Orientation and find out if becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate is the right volunteer fit for you, or how you can support our program in other ways.
Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained by CASA and sworn by the court to speak up for the best interests of a child in foster care. Can you spend some time each month investigating the circumstances of a child’s life, facilitating progress towards permanency, advocating for any changes or services that would improve the child’s experience in foster care, and monitoring the case until it’s closed?
There are more than 300 children in foster care in Columbia County – find out how you can make sure one child’s experience is as positive as possible. We really do make a difference.
