In the third of a series of workshops designed to benefit local non-profit organizations and individuals, the Columbia County Cultural Coalition is offering a full day event, “Developing Grant Writing Skills,” on Wednesday May 23rd from 9 to 4 at the auditorium of the Columbia Center at 375 S. 18th St, St. Helens.
The Instructor is Arthur Davis, GPC (Grant Professionals Institute Certified), who has over fifteen years of experience in helping non-profits grow. Among his current and recent clients are: The Urban League of Portland, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Constructing Hope, Columbia Memorial Hospital, Catholic Charities of Oregon, Oregon MESA, and the Oregon Human Development Corporation.
The themes of this year’s workshop are: Introduction to Grant Writing, Developing a Proposal, Funder Relations and Organizational Readiness, and Funder Research. Participants will learn how to initiate, describe, develop and fund projects that address the needs of the community.
A networking lunch will be provided and is included in the registration cost. Until April 30th, the cost is $50 to members of non-profits and government agencies and $60 to the general public. A $5 late charge will be added for those who register after April 30th. Registration is limited.
