- Help restore South Scappoose Creek in Veteran’s Park by planting native trees and shrubs to support salmon habitat. Learn while planting!Pre-registration is required and space is limited. All ages and abilities are welcome!
– A registration form must be completed for each volunteer.
– Parents: please fill out a form for each child/dependent. Students ages 16 or older can volunteer without an adult present.
Accessibility: The planting site is in a flat area just a few minutes from the parking lot.What to bring: Face covering or mask and a water bottle.
What we provide: sanitized planting gloves, shovels, extra masks, snacks and warm beverages.
What to wear: Long sleeves, pants, rain gear and sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.Before the event: You will receive an email with a specific parking location and additional details.
At the event: Estuary Partnership staff will share project goals and demonstrate planting techniques. We will review COVID guidelines to ensure safe planting, distribute tools and organize volunteers into small, dispersed groups.
