CASA for Children trains and supports community volunteers to advocate for health, safety, stability, and well-being of abused and neglected children who are under the protection of the juvenile courts.
A CASA volunteer is a voice for each child. As a tireless and passionate protector of the child and a legal party to the case, a CASA will visit children regularly, contact caseworkers, interview parents, doctors, teachers and therapists – all with the child’s best interest in mind. CASAs are granted tremendous authority and they are able to ensure that a child is not ignores and his or her circumstances are effectively presented to the court.
