Owned and operated by the non-profit Clatskanie Foundation, the Clatskanie Cultural Center is an historic, beautifully-restored venue just off Lower Columbia River Highway 30 in Clatskanie, Oregon. The former Odd Fellows hall features the 175-seat Birkenfeld Theatre, named after Keith Birkenfeld, a member of a Northwest Oregon pioneer family, whose bequest sparked the restoration of the National Historic Register-listed building. Featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting, the theatre is ideal for live performances as well as movie screenings, weddings, etc. The Cultural Center also includes a 2,400 square foot ballroom for banquets, receptions, meetings, and gatherings of all kinds. The Cultural Center is the home of the Clatskanie Arts Commission’s Performing Arts Series, numerous events sponsored by the Clatskanie Foundation, and is available to rent for both public and private events.
