The Clatskanie People’s Utility District (PUD) is a publicly-owned electric utility that serves Clatskanie and the surrounding rural areas in Columbia County, Oregon. Founded in 1940, with a mission to “Create economic advantage for our communities by providing the best energy value for all of our customer-owners,” the PUD is committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable electric service to its customers.
The PUD owns and operates its own electric distribution system, including substations, transmission lines, and distribution lines. They work to maintain and upgrade their system to ensure that their customers have access to the most advanced and reliable technologies available.
In addition to providing electric service, the PUD is also committed to promoting energy efficiency and conservation. They offer a range of programs and services to help their customers reduce their energy consumption and save money on their utility bills.
The Clatskanie PUD is governed by a locally-elected board of directors and is dedicated to serving the needs of its customers and the community.
