Columbia County Habitat for Humanity (CCHFH) provides homeownership opportunities to low income households that meet program requirements for obtaining an affordable mortgage. Donated materials and volunteer labor make these opportunities possible. CCHFH is also a provider for the Oregon IDA matched savings program which boosts savings for home purchase or home repairs. Low income home owners are eligible to apply for access ramps through the Critical Home Repair program. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore funds these programs by taking in donated furniture, appliances and building materials and selling them at below market prices. Other items generally available at the ReStore include art, books, antiques, electronics and sporting goods.
