Columbia County, OR –  The Keep It Local Columbia County group strives to engage business owners in promoting other local businesses.  We recommend they refer neighboring businesses to their customers. Carrying and using local products or cross promoting on social media are just a few easy ways to support one another keeping the money here in Columbia County.  Another way to support each other is to collaborate on projects such as promoting Dine Local across Columbia County.  Media partnerships are a great way to reach a different audience.  KOHI 1600 AM has an audience of 75,000 across western Columbia County, western Clark and southern Cowlitz counties with many tuning in for one of their 45 different programs.

Keep It Local Columbia County (KILCC) a grassroots campaign, has partnered with KOHI 1600 AM to promote local restaurants and food in Columbia County.   “Keep it Local is here to connect Columbia County, but we can’t do it without business owner’s involvement,” said Natasha Parvey, Director, of Keep it Local Columbia County.

Many local business owners understand the strength of Shop Local but few as well as Marty Rowe.  Marty owner of  KOHI 1600  AM since 2004 has been advertising local businesses since the start.   If you tune in for a few minutes a day, you’ll be sure to hear something going on locally that you weren’t aware of.   You’ll also stay in touch with your local schools, government, municipalities, and even talk radio with Senator Betsy Johnson to stay plugged into your community.

You can listen live to the new Dine Out Columbia County show on 1600 AM Saturdays at Noon on their website or stream Dine Out Columbia County Saturday.   Chris Dahlgren, owner of Discounts & Deals in Clatskanie and Natasha Parvey, Director of Keep it Local Columbia County, will co-host the Dine Out Columbia County show with Marty Rowe.  This is great news for local businesses and cross promotion of Shop Local across Columbia County.

More exciting news, KOHI is moving forward with a satellite station to broadcast Discounts & Deals in Clatskanie, providing local radio within city limits.  Please stay tuned to their station and website for additional information.
