Since 1988 HOPE (Help Our People Eat), has been dedicated to providing emergency service to those in need in the greater Rainier community.
HOPE continually strives to meet the ever-increasing needs and growing numbers of the homeless, elderly, unemployed and working poor residents by providing food and other necessities. Our goal is simply to make sure that no resident suffers from hunger.
Whether it’s the single mother working a minimum wage job, the family that suddenly is homeless, the disabled person unable to work or the elderly on a fixed income, HOPE works to provide the assistance needed in a friendly, welcoming and non-judgemental atmosphere. Hope is a place they can go when there is no other help available.
Our primary goal is to provide a 3-5 day supply of food to qualified families and individuals who reside in the 97048 zip code area. When available, personal care items and paper products are also provided.
HOPE is an affiliate of the Columbia Pacific Food Bank and is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit 501(c)3 agency. HOPE operates on a very small budget and is funded by donations, fundraisers, grants and resale income. The bulk of the food received for distribution is from the Oregon Food Bank network and public donations. Donations to HOPE are tax deductible. No Records Found
